We hired Brandon to DJ our wedding and he KILLED it. Not only was he extremely pleasant and easy to work with, he took everything we wanted and made it happen.   • A few things! First, we’re a boutique company with a single DJ, so we take on a limited number of events per year. This helps us ensure that each event receives a level of responsiveness and attention to detail that is otherwise impossible. We have a distinct DJ/MC style that prioritizes a minimalist setup, perfectly clear audio, simple announcements, and a fresh soundtrack. We shy away from the cheesy jokes and eye-rolling song choices that contribute to the “typical wedding DJ” stereotype. And lastly, we think our reviews tell the story of a true friend in the planning process, a warm and confident host toward guests, and someone who really knows how to pack a dance floor. It’s for these reasons that we’re a preferred DJ company at venues like Magnolia Hill Farm, Jorgensen Farms, and Pinnacle Golf Club.

  • We’re able to take care of ceremony audio at your wedding. We’ll provide a dedicated loudspeaker with wireless microphones so your guests will hear every word with perfect clarity.

  • Absolutely. We love getting to provide multiple services for our couples. When you reserve Sound + Light Creative for both DJ and videography, we bring along an additional videographer to help capture your day while Brandon serves as your DJ.   • Brandon. Unlike some DJ companies where you meet with the owner but then a less-experienced associate shows up at your event, you always get our best DJ. (He’s also our worst DJ, for what it’s worth.)

  • We’ve invested in premium audio and lighting gear to ensure that your event sounds amazing and runs smoothly. To that end, we exclusively use Bose Professional line array systems for audio, with differently sized configurations for different venues. Paired with powerful LED lighting to match the vertical look of our loudspeakers, the Sound + Light Creative setup is modern, elegant, and looks right at home in any venue.

  • The most important part of crafting your wedding day soundtrack is the planning meeting. Within a month of your wedding, we’ll schedule a time to talk about your timeline and music selections in detail. During this meeting, we’ll learn about the music you love, the music you don’t, and the special songs that help tell the story of your relationship. We always remind our couples that you hired a capable DJ for a reason — you don’t need to do all the music planning by yourself! What works best is to give us an overall feel and a handful of must-plays. Then, kick back and enjoy your party while we execute your vision to perfection.

  • Yes. We’ll go just about anywhere you’d like to send us. When you contact us, let us know where you’re planning to get married, and we’ll let you know if we can make it work.

  • Yes. We carry a strong policy that covers us everywhere we work.

  • Fortunately, this has never happened in our 10+ years of service at hundreds of weddings. But it’s still good to be prepared. Through our time in the wedding industry, we’ve gotten to know many great local DJs. In the unlikely event that an illness or other unforeseen circumstance were to prevent us from being at your wedding, we would lean on this community to find a suitable replacement on short notice.

  • Absolutely. We’re happy to provide a quote for your upcoming party, corporate event, or anything else that requires a great DJ. Simply send us a message through our contact form and let us know what you’re planning.

  • It’s easy. First, contact us with some basic information about your wedding. We’ll reach out and confirm our availability — if we’re free, we’ll invite you to schedule a brief meeting to get to know you better and learn more about your event. To make things official, you’ll sign a simple contract and pay a 50% deposit. Once signed and paid, the date is reserved.
